Job description

Job Title: R&D QA Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46241

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Shift: 12hr shift rotating 2-2-3 schedule. 3 month rotation 6:30am-6:30pm and 3 months 6:30pm-6:30am


Job Description

Perform routine analytical and physical tests to ensure resulting finished products and packaging meet Food and Beverage standards. Work closely with production and perform a wide variety of tasks such as product testing, raw material inspection, finished good inspection, sanitation inspection, and creating finished good or packaging holds.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring the production lines
  2. Performing lab testing using various methods
  3. Conducting Food safety checks and audits
  4. Micro testing and plating
  5. Production paperwork review
  6. Lab equipment management and maintenance
  7. Instrument calibration
  8. Creating and following SOP guidelines
  9. Conducting training with front line associates
  10. Participating in Lean Six Sigma projects
  11. Participating in innovation projects

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred
  2. Food Manufacturing experience preferred
  3. Must have good documentation skills
  4. Understands written procedures
  5. Complete calculations and conversions
  6. Work in a team-oriented atmosphere
  7. Good communication with strong problem-solving skills
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  9. Requires flexible schedule including weekend and holiday work in addition to potential second and third shift coverage. Must be able to work 12hr shifts.
