Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics & Strategy to lead portfolio analysis, performance tracking, and benchmarking across the R&D portfolio. You’ll own PTRS processes, partner with Product Teams and Governance, and drive data-driven decision support for senior leadership.

You will translate development risks into actionable options, oversee PTRS tool development with cross-functional teams, and ensure consistency in valuation, planning, and governance assumptions while leveraging

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• Master’s degree and 4 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio analysis, performance tracking, and benchmarking for the R&D portfolio.
• Partner with Product Teams and Governance to translate risks into decision-ready options.
• Oversee PTRS tools and data-driven decision support across the portfolio.
• Support portfolio reviews and investment decisions with clear options for senior leaders.
• Deliver insights on portfolio risk, value, and performance for governance and leadership.
