Job summary

Amgen in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics & Strategy to lead PTRS, portfolio analysis, performance tracking, and benchmarking across the R&D portfolio. You will partner with Product Teams, Therapeutic Areas and Portfolio Governance to translate development risks into decision-ready options, while overseeing PTRS tools and data workflows with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• Master’s degree and 4 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience in R&D portfolio management, portfolio analytics, life sciences or management consulting, or leading decision analysis initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead PTRS assessment, strategy, governance, tools & technology across the enterprise.
• Partner with Product Teams to assess risk across target product profiles and indications.
• Lead portfolio reviews, performance tracking, and benchmarking to inform governance decisions.
• Deliver decision-ready insights on portfolio risk, value, performance, and key trade-offs for senior leadership.
