Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United States is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager for the 8H platform to drive engine development and upgrade programs from concept through first-engine shipment.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and service to balance technical and business objectives, apply advanced tools like FMEA and QFD, and lead global cross-functional teams to deliver on time, within budget, and with exceptional quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, PMP, PgMP, or equivalent PM certification preferred.
• 3–5+ years of PM experience leading complex engineering or R&D initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage significant R&D investments, budgets, and resources while balancing technical and business objectives.
• Demonstrated success leading global cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Strong knowledge of product development lifecycles and risk management with structured engineering methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engine development and upgrade programs from concept through first-engine shipment.
• Drive program strategy, schedules, milestones, investment planning, and execution across global teams.
• Apply FMEA, QFD, SIRA, and other tools to optimize designs and balance priorities.
• Lead resolution of complex technical challenges with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Champion disciplined product development processes, governance, and documentation for predictable execution.
• Provide clear stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership to accelerate results.
