Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an early-career R&D Technical Project Manager I to join our dynamic Research and Development team in the New York area. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, support fragrance and formula development, and help drive commercialization milestones while maintaining organized project trackers.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and proactive communication in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in R&D or a raw materials applications laboratory
• Experience in personal care, skincare, makeup, or haircare is preferred
• Experience in Project Management is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic analysis
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of organization
• Able to manage time effectively and adapt to a dynamic environment; shows urgency
• Good verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Assess and communicate challenges and risks in formula stability, compatibility, and microbiology for low complexity projects; troubleshoot issues and map out action plans with manager support
• Complete commercialization milestones on time and report development challenges with risk assessments to internal teams
• Maintain project trackers to ensure visibility and history
• Collaborate with Product Fragrance Development, Formula Data Integrity, Regulatory, Safety, Engineering, Operations, and Packaging to drive success
• Lead deliverables from fragrance houses and contract manufacturers
• Support supply chain and cost savings by approving alternate raw materials based on chemistries
• Participate in weekly commercialization and cross-functional meetings; share updates and ideas
• Build relationships across R&D and cross-functional teams through onboarding and regular touchpoints
