Job summary

Haemonetics is seeking a Program Manager to lead enterprise software initiatives, plan and manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery within budget. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, R&D collaboration, and governance across stages from concept to commercialization.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in program management for software development and experience with medical device development under FDA QSR, CE Marking, and ISO QMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, BS in Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years Program management experience leading software development programs.
  • Program management leading medical device development.
  • Experience with medical device development (Class II/III) under FDA Quality Systems Regulations.
  • Experience with medical device development under FDA Quality Systems Regulations, CE Marking, and ISO Quality Systems

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project risks and identify impact while developing mitigation strategies and manage critical path.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise to meet changing needs.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects and scope; ensure SOPs and Stage Gate compliance.
  • Mitigate team conflict and motivate the team to work efficiently.
  • Leverage project management tools to assist in schedule development and status reporting.
  • Create governance levels to ensure alignment and clear objectives.
  • Accountable for product design history file, regulatory standards, and compliance to QMS procedures.
  • Capture and share lessons learned with the team

Job Details

The Program Manager is responsible to plan, execute, manage risk, manage critical path and commercialize Enterprise Software projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes engaging resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party organizations to deliver projects according to plan. Accountable to create project team governance to engage cross functional accountability of costs, schedules, scope, resources and track risks of programs and multiple integrated projects.

This position will require you to be onsite working a Hybrid schedule at 125 Summer Street in downtown Boston as you will be working closely with R&D teams.

As a Program Manager the candidate will:
  • Analyze project risks and identify their impact while developing mitigation strategies, identify and manage critical path, ensure appropriate program level definition across all stake holders and manage the program from concept to commercialization
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Maintain compliance with the Stage Gate Process quality system and help to enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs). Escalates appropriately when required.
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems. Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Leverage project management tools to assist in the development of and adherence to a schedule and report status.
  • Own and create appropriate levels of governance to ensure alignment and clear objectives
  • Accountable for product design history file, regulatory standards, and compliance to QMS procedures
  • Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, BS in Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years Program management experience leading software development programs.
  • Program management leading medical device development.
  • Experience with medical device development (Class II/III) under FDA Quality Systems Regulations

Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this role is: $103,600.00-$176,400.00/Annual

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles.

Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.
