Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a leader to manage the R&D function, including personnel, project management, and product development support. The role involves coordinating with quality, regulatory, legal, and manufacturers to drive initiatives, manage risks, and implement new products and protocols.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical fields, experience supervising cross-functional teams, and strong time-management and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical field.
• Experience in indirect management of team members.
• Experience assessing and initiating actions independently.
• Experience taking charge of a situation, team or project.
• Experience prioritizing and tracking multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities and accountability of a team to meet deadlines and goals.
• Contribute to resource planning based on evolving organizational needs.
• Collaborate with divisional personnel, quality, regulatory, legal, and manufacturers to identify projects and timelines.
• Identify issues and risks and develop contingency plans.
• Evaluate new technologies and products and stay up-to-date with developments.
• Research, plan, and implement new products, programs, or protocols.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
• Interpret and execute policies and manage staff performance and development.
