The Connected Living Solutions (CLS) business unit is seeking a highly motivated and skilled R&D/Development Engineer to join our product development team in Harrisburg, PA. In this role you will work with the global TE team to develop the requirements, customers and ultimately the next generation electrical interconnect products that are needed within the outdoor LED lighting, appliance and HVAC market spaces. The need for cost effective, robust interconnects for use in harsh settings provide a challenge and opportunity for the right candidate. The R&D/Development Engineer will be responsible for the new product development of various connectors in support of existing product line expansions as well as products to support developments in new growth market focus areas. The engineer will be part of a fast-paced environment to gather customer requirements, generate product concepts, organize rapid prototype samples, and clearly communicate designs internally and externally to key stakeholders within the development process. The ideal candidate will possess and apply considerable knowledge of product design principles, practices, and procedures, including understanding of manufacturing technologies such as stamping, plating, molding, assembly, and machine application. The role will involve working globally with Sales, Product Management, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, plant Quality and outside vendors to ensure smooth release and maintenance of parts. The Engineer will also work directly with TE’s suppliers in support of New Product Introductions and to help drive resolution of Sustaining Engineering activities.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $89,000 – 132,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
