Job summary

GAF is seeking a motivated intern for 3 months in the R&D Digital Transformation group. The role blends experimental formulation chemistry with data science, self-service ML, and lab automation. You will aggregate data, build models, run DOE campaigns, and shape workflows in LIMS/ELN alongside scientists and leaders.

The intern will standardize data, apply inverse predictions, and support knowledge management while gaining exposure to industrial chemistry workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with DOE tools.
• Experience with Google Workspace and basic AI/ML concepts.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and standardize historical formulation datasets from various sources.
• Build predictive ML models and design DOE campaigns for formulation data.
• Develop analytical summaries and dashboards for R&D stakeholders.
• Assist in configuring LIMS/ELN workflows and data pipelines.
• Coordinate end-to-end data workflows linking materials to properties.
