Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced Manager, R&D Procurement to lead end-to-end clinical study vendor procurement from sourcing through contracting. You will negotiate with laboratories, IRBs, imaging, ECG providers and other services, partnering with Clinical Operations, Legal, Finance, and business partners to ensure timely and compliant vendor agreements.

The role requires strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with experience in contracting, budgeting, and risk mitigation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, life sciences, or related field.
• Minimum seven years in procurement, strategic sourcing, clinical operations, or related field.
• Experience in clinical study procurement and contracting, including labs, IRBs, imaging, and ECG.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical study vendor procurement from sourcing through contracting.
• Lead sourcing and contracting for central laboratories, IRBs, imaging, ECG, and other services.
• Define requirements with stakeholders and select appropriate vendors.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and execute vendor agreements and statements of work.
• Coordinate multiple studies with timelines, priorities, and status reporting.
• Identify and mitigate procurement and contract risks in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
