Job summary

Puratos USA is seeking a skilled R&D Process Specialist to design, optimize, and validate product and process parameters. You will collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Planning, and Engineering to support scale-up, troubleshooting, and successful commercialization.

You will lead trials, prepare detailed validation reports, and develop work instructions and SOPs for new recipes and processes, ensuring compliance and smooth handover to Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or food product development; food, baking, or baking-ingredient experience preferred.
• Proficiency with standard Windows-based applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and validate product, process, equipment, and packaging parameters for smooth handover to Operations.
• Drive production efficiency, consistency, process control and readiness for new/improved products.
• Coordinate production trials and validate operating parameters; prepare validation reports and handover documentation.
• Develop detailed work instructions and update SOPs for new/ improved recipes and processes.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality; provide real-time troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Support commissioning of new production and packaging lines and ensure successful handover.
