Job summary

PIM Brands in Somerset, New Jersey is seeking an R&D Process Engineer to join our Quality Control team. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, scale up from lab to production, and work with R&D to bring new products to market.

You will collaborate with production, engineering and plant management, ensure GMP/HAACP compliance, and optimize processes for cost efficiency, quality, and profitability while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering is strongly preferred for this role.
• Advanced degree in food science is desirable.
• Product development in a food manufacturing plant is beneficial.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and knowledge of manufacturing quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop or improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Formulate manufacturing processes for new products and scale from lab to production.
• Ensure GMP/HAACP compliance and maintain food safety standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, engineering and plant management.
• Scale up products from R&D to full production and optimize cost effectiveness.
