Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a 2027 summer intern to support the R&D process technology team in Denver, CO. You will assist with data analysis, process standardization, and engineering support, reporting findings to the Process Research Manager.

Some travel to plants may be required. Ideal candidates are engineering students (sophomore–senior) with coursework in heat-mass transfer, fluid dynamics, circuits, data analytics, and CAD experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Completed coursework in heat-mass transfer, fluid dynamics, electrical circuits, numerical methods or data analytics.
• Experience with MS Office 365 Suite (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with commercial CAD software applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• GPA of at least 3.0 at an accredited college or university.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards in Power BI is highly preferred.
• Experience with CAD creation preferably in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Experience with Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the process and engineering standardization efforts within the R&D process technology team developing automated data analysis platforms for process and operational improvement decisions.
• Support the process technology team in the development and integration of standardized design and process protocols and documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Assist R&D Engineers on operational support activities with data sampling, analysis and recommendations.
• Provide project status and process analysis reports as required.
• Domestic travel to plants if needed.
