Job summary

CONMED Corporation is seeking an R&D Manager, PMO Sustaining in Denver. Hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite, leading the Advanced Surgical sustaining portfolio and driving project execution for projects with patient impact.

You will manage budgets, governance, risk, and staffing across cross-functional teams while partnering with Operations and Quality to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering and/or project management experience required.
• Demonstrated success managing concurrent projects with timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Surgical sustaining portfolio governance and project execution.
• Guide project managers and cross-functional teams in scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead Project Review Board meetings and executive updates with clear communication of metrics and risks.
• Promote proactive risk documentation, mitigation, and escalation across project, technical, supply, and regulatory areas.
• Develop and maintain resource capacity views and staffing recommendations across sustaining work.
• Own the Advanced Surgical sustaining portfolio budget and provide financial oversight, forecasting, and reporting.
• Improve PMO systems and processes, including dashboards and Smartsheet-based solutions.
• Support regulatory, quality, remediation, and other sustaining initiatives per design control requirements.
• Partner with Operations to align sustaining priorities and readiness activities.
• Build alignment across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and other partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of project management professionals.
