Job summary

ASU's SHIELD USA program invites a Lab and Research Assistant 3 to support semiconductor development in our R&D Pilot Facility. You will help translate research concepts into pilot-scale operations and work closely with engineers and scientists to advance new devices.

Candidates should have a background in electronics or materials science and hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 3 years relevant experience or equivalent training.
• 2+ years of semiconductor wafer fabrication or pilot-line experience.
• Familiarity with SPC and data analysis tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and follow complex procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain semiconductor processing equipment.
• Execute experimental runs and document results.
• Perform wafer inspections, measurements and data collection.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with engineering.
• Maintain cleanroom and safety standards.
• Mentor junior technicians.
