Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Pilot Plant Technician in Wilmington, DE. You will support R&D pilot plant operations, work with engineers and scientists, and ensure safe, efficient sample production and data collection for planned experiments.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required with emphasis in process tech, chemistry, biology or related area.
• 3+ years of technical military experience or relevant industry experience.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment and control systems in a defined area.
• Execute tasks per Master Task List (field checks, equipment prep, samples).
• Troubleshoot process deviations and relate duties to team goals.
• Monitor plant metrics for SPC, asset utilization and production yields.
• Use process knowledge to improve plant performance and safety discipline.
• Write Safe Work Practices and perform lockout/tagout procedures.
• Participate in Root Cause Investigations and crisis response activities.
• Demonstrate Life Critical Standards and maintain safety culture.
• Complete all facility training per plan.
• Move drums (55 gal) and lift up to 50 lbs.
