Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Food Production Technician on the 2nd shift to set up, sanitize, and run trials in a Pilot Plant focused on cereal products. You will support product developers, operate equipment, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining efficiency across multiple unit operations.

The role offers growth opportunities, hands-on training, and a pay rate of $21 per hour with benefits. This onsite position is based in Minneapolis, MN, with long-term conversion potential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in production, machine operating, or warehouse.
• 6+ months sanitation experience, food-grade chemicals preferred.
• Experience with industrial equipment and hand tools.
• Understanding of PPE, HACCP, and Lock-out Tag-out safety.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously set up, complete sanitation, and operate equipment for trials.
• Provide strong customer service across platforms with focus on the Cereal platform.
• Safely operate equipment, adhering to food safety requirements and risk assessments.
• Lead teams in identifying and resolving safety risks in human and food safety areas.
• Maintain mastery over multiple unit operations/systems, ensuring efficiency and training others.
• Lead equipment sanitation activities and inspect post-sanitation.
