Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Pilot Plant Technician to support the cereal platform during 2nd shift. The role entails setting up, sanitizing, and operating production equipment for trials, while collaborating with food scientists and production staff.

You will perform sanitation and safety-driven tasks, learn multiple unit operations, and adapt to evolving platforms, with overtime and weekend trial support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant production experience.
• Experience sanitation, preferably with food-grade chemicals.
• Familiarity with HACCP and PPE practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate pilot plant and production equipment for cereal and other platforms.
• Set up equipment for trials using hand tools.
• Lead sanitation before and after production runs and inspect equipment.
• Apply HACCP and lock-out/tag-out safety procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety risks.
• Collaborate with scientists, developers, and production staff on trials.
• Support maintenance and controls-related activities with a technical focus.
