McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Scientist II, R&D Packaging Development at its Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD. You will drive packaging innovation for Condiments & Sauces, shaping sustainable, consumer-preferred packaging across North America.

You will work with Frank’s RedHot, Cholula, French’s and Stubb’s brands, collaborating with senior leaders to advance design, materials, and commercialization while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in packaging-related field or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of packaging development and project management in CPG.
• Experience with plastic, glass, laminated structures, and paper-based materials.
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams across packaging development projects.
• Recommend package designs, materials, and commercialization steps.
• Advise on sustainability-focused packaging initiatives and lifecycle improvements.
• Manage multiple projects with milestones and deliverables.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
