Job summary

VIAVI Solutions Inc. in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Network Lab Engineer to design, configure, and maintain an R&D lab infrastructure for product QA testing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting switched and routed Ethernet networks in a lab, test, or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain an R&D network lab infrastructure for product Quality Assurance testing.
• Work within the R&D team of the Morrisville, NC office, near the Research Triangle Park, and with VIAVI colleagues located worldwide.
• Build network test environments in coordination with the application development and product management teams to emulate customer networks and support quality assurance processes.
• Write automation test code to verify the network configuration and to support the quality assurance process for product features.
• Assist software development teams in the design and diagnosis of network performance criteria for systems deployed and emulated in the lab.
