Hadrian in the Los Angeles area is building the welding development center as part of its push to industrialize America with AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. The role blends design work with hands-on shop-floor work to create tooling, fixtures, and processes for weld development.

As an R&D Engineer supporting welding, you will work closely with welding engineers and welders, translating development needs into repeatable, auto-friendly solutions while coordinating across Build, Software,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD and GD&T with tolerance analysis.
• Experience with shop-floor tooling, fixtures, and metrology.
• Exposure to machining, assembly, welding, additive, and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Support welding equipment needs for weld development, including CAD for equipment setup.
• Develop concepts for automation, tooling, fixtures, and development parts.
• Collaborate with welding engineers and welders to weld parts in development.
• Translate development needs into repeatable, tool-ready processes.
• Coordinate with Build, Software, Tooling, Automation, and NDT to keep welding development unblocked.
