Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Complete an assigned engineering project during the internship term.
  • Contribute to ongoing R&D engineering projects.
  • Support Project Management lifecycle: prepare specs, coordinate schedules, and use PM tools.
  • Gain insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities and safety practices.
  • Exposure to and modeling of process/material interactions; involve sorting, conveying, and fluid systems.

R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern Program Offering

Mechanical - Research & Development (R&D) Engineering Intern:

  • Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
  • Contributing to several ongoing R&D engineering projects
  • Experience with and exposure to supporting the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
    • Preparation of project specifications and requirements
    • Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
    • Project execution, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
  • Valuable insight into large-scale manufacturing facilities, equipment, and safe working practices
  • 3D Modeling or Simulation Modeling - to predict process/material interactions
  • Exposure to Sorting, conveying, combustion, sanding, fluid, and pneumatic transfer systems

Required Qualifications
  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) at an ABET accredited program and be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
