Job summary

Armstrong World Industries seeks a student engineer for a hands-on internship at the Hilliard, OH facility. You will receive daily guidance from the Technical Services Manager or a mentor and work on a project-focused area to improve a key plant metric.

You will collaborate with business operations support teams to promote good science practices and work with the Hilliard production operations teams to transfer knowledge. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, cumulative and within major.
• Must be in junior year, or have completed junior year during internship.

Job Output

Minimum Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, cumulative and within major
• Must be in junior year, or have completed junior year during internship.

• Capability to build relationships with other functions, which will be essential with such activities as teaching teams and transferring knowledge

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions when necessary
• Unlimited authorization to work in the United States
• Must be able to climb ladders and walk catwalks, etc., in order to monitor, direct and validate equipment and installations
