Job summary

HP’s Specialty Printing and Technology Solutions group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and scale disruptive mechanical products. You’ll lead design of components and subsystems, develop and validate specs, and work with internal teams and external partners to bring concepts to production.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic domains, manage interfaces, and guide early-stage development toward manufacturability in a lean, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Typically 4+ years of product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design components, subsystems, and portions of engineering solutions for mechanical, electrical, optical, and fluidic systems.
• Create designs using CAD; perform product layout and detailed part/assembly design.
• Develop specifications and manage interfaces between systems and subsystems.
• Plan and execute tests and validation methods including tolerances, EMI, safety, and thermal measurements.
• Own components through early technology development from prototyping to production-ready solutions.
• Support development of assembly tools and processes in internal labs and partner sites.
• Collaborate across teams and geographies with external/ODM partners.
