Job summary

You will analyze demand, negotiate terms, and collaborate with engineering and production to optimize inventory and lead times, while using Excel and Microsoft Office to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or general Business preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in an R&D engineering environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in a purchasing role in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years’ experience managing distributor and OEM relationships.

Responsibilities

• Strategic purchasing of products, raw materials, and services to fulfill demands.
• Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize R&D and production.
• Analyze inventory and production schedules to set reorder points and quantities.
• Expedite orders to stay on track with project timelines.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and shipping companies.
• Conduct spend analyses and develop cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance and qualify new suppliers with other departments.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to anticipate needs.
• Identify alternate sources to reduce costs and lead times.
• Demonstrate strong data analysis and communication with vendors.
