Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Pomona, CA is seeking an R&D Technician to support hands-on materials compatibility testing in a healthcare-product lab. This six-month contract role offers 100% onsite work and hands-on experience in R&D and product development.

The ideal candidate will have a chemistry/materials/engineering lab background, be able to follow protocols, document results, and work independently with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a chemistry, materials, or engineering lab.
• Strong documentation skills and basic Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work onsite and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on material compatibility testing on plastics and medical-device materials.
• Follow established test protocols and document experiments, observations, and results accurately.
• Prepare reports, methods, and SOPs.
• Support lab operations including ordering materials, reagents, samples, and shipping.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment.
