Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, R&D – Shockwave Medical to join our New Brighton, Minnesota team. You will lead engineering efforts, drive cross-functional programs from concept to clinical and commercial release, and mentor engineers in catheter development.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in medical device development.
• 3+ years’ experience leading projects across all development phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering staff and technicians.
• Drive cross-functional projects from concept to clinical/commercial release.
• Design and develop products under Design Control per FDA/ISO.
• Coordinate external vendors and manage project timelines.
• Ensure proper documentation of development activities and DHF.
• Communicate milestones and risks to stakeholders regularly.
