You will recruit, mentor, and align staff with Sandia's mission through strategic leadership and collaboration with sponsors and universities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' relevant experience, and DOE Q-level clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 8+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance and SCI access.
• Graduate degree (MS/PhD) preferred for advanced leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse R&D team to develop emergent computing technologies.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop staff members.
• Collaborate with management to set strategic direction and execute it.
• Maintain open research basis and connect to laboratory mission elements.
• Work with internal and external partners to grow cross-cutting relationships.
