Job summary

GoMacro is seeking an experienced Research & Development Manager to lead the R&D function, scale processes, and drive innovation from concept to commercialization. You will guide a team of food scientists and technicians while partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, and FSQA to ensure quality, cost, and brand alignment.

You will establish standards, manage lifecycle activities, and foster ownership and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Product Development, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in food product development, research & development, commercialization support, or technical operations in food manufacturing.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience with success coaching, developing, and building high-performing technical teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development initiatives from concept to commercialization readiness.
• Experience developing products for commercial food manufacturing with understanding of formulation, ingredient functionality, process development, and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the R&D Organization and drive technical excellence across new product development and commercialization.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of Food Scientists and R&D Technicians.
• Establish priorities, standards, and scalable processes to enable R&D growth.
• Develop capabilities that strengthen GoMacro’s technical expertise and support future growth.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and mitigate risks early.
