Job summary

ATAC’s Research & Development Manager for Tactical Aircraft will lead the evaluation of existing fighter and attack aircraft for integration into ATAC’s fleet, reporting to the Director of R&D and supporting program managers responsible for upgrades.

The role involves coordinating R&D activities, drafting proposals, evaluating acquisitions, and guiding avionics, sensors, AESA radars, and HMCS integration to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Test Pilot School graduate (required).
• 8+ years of fighter aircraft mission and radar systems integration experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance (required) and ability to obtain SAP clearance.
• Former military service required.

Responsibilities

• Research existing fighter aircraft for cost-effective integration into ATAC's fleet.
• Draft RFPs to industry or foreign governments for pricing and scheduling.
• Evaluate aircraft acquisitions or upgrades to satisfy CAS requirements.
• Assist with integrating EO/IR sensors, AESA radars, and HMCS onto ATAC aircraft.
• Support program managers with requirements derivation, verification and validation.
