Job summary

Valeo is seeking an R&D IS Operations Engineer at the Garching site near Munich. You will coordinate IS/IT needs for R&D, support development systems and networks, and drive cloud adoption while aligning local practices with Group standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in software/production platforms, hands-on experience with PLM/ALM and tools like Git/Jenkins/Kubernetes, and fluency in English (German a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software architecture and/or production platform operations.
• Hands-on experience with R&D Engineering Tools and platforms such as PLM/ALM, CAD, TeamForge, Git, Jenkins, etc.
• Strong background in cloud platforms and cloud computing, with foundational knowledge of AI/ML technologies.
• Proven track record in supporting enterprise-level software, IT infrastructure, and heterogeneous operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate IS/IT projects and collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with a large number of stakeholders to identify IS/IT needs and find solutions.
• Support development teams with development systems, operating systems and network issues.
• Ensure deployment of standard business processes & applications in development departments; integrate latest non-standard hardware/software.
• Ensure coherence between Group IS standards and local implementation; pilot new features.
• Exchange and share best practices with other Ops engineers across Valeo.
• Oversee local licenses from ordering to support per group IS-IT rules.
• Contribute to IS & IT projects from start to finish; manage tickets and KPI reporting.
• Train and support internal/external users as required.
• Focus on R&D and interdisciplinary collaboration; drive cloud adoption and migrations.
• Handle incidents from identification to resolution and restoration.
