Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking outstanding undergraduate students to join the Monitoring Systems and Technology Intern Center (MSTIC) in Albuquerque, NM. The part-time, temporary internship focuses on remote sensing, data processing and real-time analysis systems for national security applications.

You will work in cohesive teams on projects spanning satellite systems, verification technologies, and high-consequence sensing systems.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a science, engineering, or math major.
• Enrollment in full-time term prior to internship.
• University co-op registration.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
• U.S. citizens or eligible residents.

Responsibilities

• Support nuclear nonproliferation detection and remote sensing research.
• Contribute to design, development, testing and delivery of data processing software.
• Work in teams on real-time analysis systems for remote sensing.
• Engage in satellite systems engineering and multi-disciplinary sensing projects.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical principles and project management.
