Job summary

The Monitoring Systems and Technology Intern Center (MSTIC) at Sandia National Laboratories is seeking outstanding graduate students in STEM to work on remote sensing, verification, and data analysis projects. You will contribute to teams designing and delivering advanced software for real-time processing and national security applications.

You will engage in design, development, testing, and delivery of software for complex sensing systems.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree.
• Graduate student at an accredited university.
• Enrolled full time in a science, engineering, or math program in the term immediately preceding the internship.
• Registration with the university's official co-op office.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
• U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of technical principles and processes.
• Understand and demonstrate use of a variety of research tools.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management.
• Extensive knowledge of a suite of software, including Microsoft Office.
