Job summary

The Summer Intern, Siplast, supports the Research and Development (R&D) function within the Siplast commercial roofing business. The Summer Intern, Siplast, will work with scientists and manager(s) and be a part of the Siplast R&D team based in Arkadelphia, AR.

He/she will have a great deal of opportunity to learn, contribute and develop leadership skills. All GAF internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however, there are no benefits associated with these positions.

Qualifications

• Majors in chemistry, polymer science, or engineering.
• Sophomore standing pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Learn, be curious and brainstorm on potential new ideas for optimizing commercial roofing products and systems that will bring value to the end users (Architects, Roof Contractors, Consultants).
• Design and perform experiments with moderate to heavy supervision, interprets and evaluates data, contributes to written reports.
• Collect, analyze and present scientific data to key stakeholders and senior management.
