Job summary

PUMA is seeking a motivated team member to support R&D engineers in developing and testing innovative golf products in Carlsbad. You will assemble clubs for tests, measure key properties, and operate test equipment and rapid prototype machines.

The role requires 6 months to 2 years of related experience, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), strong time management, energy and initiative, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Golf passion is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior lab or machine shop experience preferred; golf industry a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• High energy, initiative and professionalism; passion for golf.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D engineers with development and testing of innovative golf products.
• Assemble golf clubs to support ongoing R&D tests of new designs.
• Measure physical properties such as center of gravity, moment of inertia, CT to quantify performance.
• Operate test equipment such as robots, air cannons, shaft measurement machines and rapid prototype machines.
• Inspect first article samples and assist in evaluation and testing of new products.
• Procure, measure, and analyze properties of competitor clubs.
