Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Food Scientist in Aurora, CO to develop, document, and launch new products. You will coordinate with Culinary, Production, Sales, Finance, QA and Supply Chain to ensure successful commercialization and ongoing improvements.

The role emphasizes data analysis, communication of results, and leading technical projects aimed at quality, cost, and process improvements. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science / Food Engineering with a strong Baking Science background; 0–5 years experience preferred.
• Experience developing new products through concept, prototyping, and commercialization in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership in development with Culinary team and commercialization of new products, product improvement, and cost savings.
• Work on multiple interdisciplinary projects, developing and implementing plans, coordinating resources to reach goals.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and make technical recommendations.
• Develop process specifications and transfer knowledge to QA and Operations.
• Research emerging technologies in product and ingredient tech.
• Support Operations and QA to resolve ingredient, formula, and process issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new products, equipment, or processes.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance NPD speed to market.
