Qualifications

• Enrollment as an undergraduate college Sophomore, Junior, Senior or graduate student in a relevant program for the 2022-2023 academic year
• Enrollment as a Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other central Science majors for the 2022-2023 academic year
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Coding experience (Python or R preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop a plan for data acquisition, cleaning, transforming, and performing analysis in accordance with your given project
• Prepare and present your project findings at the end of your internship
• Work directly with colleagues in different divisions to gain insight and collaborate on your given project
• Becoming familiar with McCormick R&D functions, specifically regarding our data and analytics initiatives
• Performing ad hoc tasks that will support data and analytics in R&D

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time R&D Intern Summer 2023at the Technical Innovation Center located at 204 Wight Avenue. This is a 10-week internship (June 2023 - August 2023) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Position Overview

This internship will start in June 2023 through August 2023. The candidate will assist with and own projects relevant to research and design (R&D). Projects will consist of data acquisition, manipulation/cleaning, and analysis. Additionally, candidate will be expected to collaborate with other R&D labs and retain business acumen. Normal hours of work will be between 8:30 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday (40-hr work week). This is a paid internship having a scaled hourly rate, dependent on experience.
