Peak Nano in Kentucky is seeking a junior extrusion technician to support film extrusion equipment set-up and operation within our R&D group. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, improving processes, and ensuring machines are functional and safe to operate.
You will write and revise SOPs, perform 5S and material handling, and collaborate with manufacturing to resolve equipment and process issues in a timely manner.
Peak Nano is looking for an extrusion technician to work in our R&D group . This is a Junior-level, hands on job, the key responsibilities of which are as follows:
Education: High school diploma/GED or 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing
Safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary; remain standing/walking for extended periods of time
1+ years of experience in plastics processing
Ability to ensure compliance with quality systems, policies, procedures, and practices and all local, state, federal and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports
Excellent verbal and good written communication skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to perform basic math and measurements and to gauge parts if needed
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience in plastics processing
Flexible and capable of adapting to change
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
