Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Lexington, MA seeks an Associate Director, US R&D Operations, to lead PMO and CAPEX governance for the IPG program and drive operations-focused project leadership across sites. The role blends capital program delivery with strategic operations planning and governance, ensuring regulatory, quality and operational standards are met.

The position requires extensive cross-functional collaboration and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in operations leadership roles, preferably multi-site.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, complemented by leadership abilities.
• Experience in project management, process improvement, change management and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMO and project controls for the IPG CAPEX program, including scope, schedule, cost, risk and governance.
• Establish delivery processes to ensure predictable execution across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery and lead executive-level updates for governance.
• Support the Project Director with CAPEX workstreams and construction activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO practices, tools and templates.
• Provide engineering governance and leadership for operations-driven initiatives across sites.
