Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.
• 5+ years of related experience in a related field.
• Familiar with modeling (3D) software and analytical tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Set research priorities and timelines and provide updates to upper management.
• Align R&D priorities with business strategy and cross-functional teams.
• Design and validate new medium voltage power control equipment.
• Manage R&D project portfolios from concept to product realization.
• Work with manufacturing to optimize manufacturability of products.
• Protect IP and foster innovation; assist with patent strategy.
• Develop and verify designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Direct and coordinate prototype manufacturing and testing.
• Plan and develop experimental test programs and witness tests.
• Utilize CAE software and AI tools where appropriate.
• Support training for Engineering, Operations, and Sales.
• Develop laboratory experiments for new technology discoveries.
