Job summary

Eaton’s Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies Engineering Co-op is a three-term program designed to give engineering students progressive experience across product research, design, validation, and digital engineering. You’ll rotate through R&D and Division Engineering, contributing to AI, data analytics, and automation efforts that drive product value.

The program spans Spring, Summer, and Fall with projects in AI-enabled engineering, documentation automation, dashboards, and process

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Ability to complete a full three-term co-op (Spring, Summer, Fall).
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT for this position.
• Willingness to work at the assigned location for the duration and travel to other facilities if required.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D and Division Engineering activities for power distribution and control assemblies.
• Assist in product design, engineering analysis, prototype development, testing, and validation.
• Conduct engineering investigations and data analyses to support product innovation and design decisions.
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering productivity and automate workflows.
• Identify opportunities to automate engineering processes using AI and digital tools.
• Assist in creating engineering dashboards and data visualization solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies for engineering design and documentation applications.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and manage project tasks and deadlines.
