Job summary

KLS Martin Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an R&D Engineer II to drive product development from concept to commercialization. You will work on mechanical designs, perform testing, write protocols, and mentor junior engineers within cross‑functional teams.

The role leverages SolidWorks, GD&T, FEA, and 3D printing to deliver robust CMF and cardiothoracic solutions, with the aim of high quality and regulatory compliance. A BS in Engineering and hands‑on CAD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required or equivalent technical/medical background.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks, Freeform).
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Windchill experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mechanical design experience.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications.
• Write and advise on product testing requirements.
• Apply GD&T principles for models and drawings.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective action.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver designs.
