Job summary

KLS Martin is seeking an R&D Engineer II in Jacksonville, FL to develop products from concept to commercialization, coordinating with multiple teams and customers. The role requires strong design skills, CAD modeling, testing, and documentation.

You will mentor colleagues and contribute to cross-functional product development efforts. Experience with SolidWorks, FEA, and GD&T is preferred, along with Windchill familiarity and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Bioengineering, Biomedical) or comparable field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as Solidworks, Freeform.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior Windchill experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mechanical design experience.
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications.
  • Write and advise others of product testing requirements.
  • Apply FEA to understand device risks and failure modes.
  • Prepare solid models for 3D printing.
