Job summary

LG Electronics North America in Clarksville, TN is seeking an R&D Engineer to advance the design and manufacturing of home appliance products. The role focuses on developing solutions across research, design, qualification, and production stages, utilizing CAD tools and simulations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent, manufacturability, and customer value while contributing to predictive design improvements and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• SolidWorks 3D/2D CAD software knowledge is essential.
• Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes and DFx concepts.
• Knowledge of dimensional and tolerance standards with tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and support to ensure design and performance from the customer's perspective.
• Effective deployment and management of resources needed to achieve project goals.
• Resolve production and customer-perspective issues using statistical analysis.
• Maintain continuous communication with internal staff for project success.
• Define product goals and plan resources to meet deadlines.
• Design and develop products from concept through production using CAD.
