Midway Staffing seeks a Documentation Specialist in Downers Grove, IL to join our R&D and Commercialization Team. The role focuses on bringing specifications and processing instructions up to date using standardized templates and clear documentation practices.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong data-entry skills, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure precise, version-controlled documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; background in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field is a plus.
• Experience with R&D documentation or product specifications is preferred.
• Strong data-entry, basic math and technical formatting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Gather raw data from team members and compile accurate final product specifications.
• Transfer existing formula and ingredient data into the latest company templates.
• Document step-by-step manufacturing processes, equipment parameters and production procedures using standardized templates.
• Collaborate with R&D scientists to capture and document processing instructions, including blend times and temperatures.
• Maintain strict version control of formulas, product specifications, and processing documentation.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, organized, and aligned with company standards.
