Job summary

Teleflex Incorporated seeks an R&D Manager of Design to provide technical leadership, drive product innovation, and build engineering capability within the R&D team. The role emphasizes mentorship, scalable processes, and cross-functional collaboration to advance the company’s medical device pipeline.

The successful candidate will lead 2–4 engineers, oversee end-to-end product development, and partner with Marketing and PMO to align roadmaps with business goals while maintaining ISO13485

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in medical device design and development.
• Experience recruiting, developing, and managing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ISO13485 and medical device regulatory practices.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development across multiple programs, including design, verification/validation, risk management, and commercialization.
• Provide strategic leadership to build engineering capabilities and scale the organization.
• Develop product strategies addressing technical, regulatory, and IP considerations.
• Mentor engineers, grow talent, and ensure high performance and learning.
• Collaborate with marketing and PMO to align development with business objectives.
• Ensure on-time delivery within plans and budget, with rigorous quality standards.
