Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a co-op for Spring 2027 to work in the Roofing and Analytical Laboratories. You will learn through hands-on projects under a dedicated mentor, contributing to new product development and standardized testing.

Base hourly rate is $24.00 with competitive pay and potential living allowance. Eligible candidates are pursuing STEM degrees and meet GPA and standing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (preferred), Chemical Engineering (preferred), Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA and at least sophomore standing.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities; basic stoichiometry and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating or optimizing inorganic coating technology.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing with various devices.
• Use microscopy, titrations, color readings, and reflectivity measurements.
• Analyze data and generate concise technical reports.
• Support problem solving and root cause investigations.
