Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to prepare samples and reagents, acquiring XRD, X-ray tomography, and electron microscopy data while ensuring data quality and safety. You will perform particle characterization and related measurements, maintain instrumentation, and support daily lab operations.

The role requires attention to detail, SOP adherence, and strong communication within a team environment to meet deadlines in a fast-paced industrial/R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent lab experience in a scientific discipline.
• Experience handling chemicals safely in a lab.
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation and standard practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality data.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain records, and work safely.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or R&D labs is a plus.
• Basic computer and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples, reagents, and standards for analysis per SOPs.
• Perform XRD data acquisition and assess data quality.
• Perform X-ray tomography data acquisition and assess data quality.
• Operate electron microscopy instrumentation and assess data quality.
• Acquire particle characterization and energetics data (particle size, density, contact angle, surface tension, surface area).
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab instrumentation.
• Dispose of laboratory waste per safety/env procedures.
• Maintain lab organization with stocking and general operations.
• Communicate results and potential issues promptly with technical staff.
