Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, TN is seeking an experienced R&D Chemical Process Engineer to lead scale-up efforts for new products and technologies. You will coordinate across product development, manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and external partners to ensure successful implementation and readiness.

The role emphasizes technology transfer, risk mitigation, and delivering robust scale-up plans while mentoring junior team members and advancing Eastman’s manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS in chemical engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental, quality, regulatory, and operational considerations in scale-up planning.
• Develop toll manufacturing readiness and scale-up plans for new products and technologies.
• Assess readiness and risks and identify gaps affecting implementation.
• Lead technology transfer between lab, pilot, and commercial manufacturing.
• Mentor less experienced scale-up leads and share best practices.
