WaveCrest Staffing Group is seeking an Analytical R&D Chemist to support research, development, and chemical manufacturing activities within a highly technical laboratory. You will perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, providing critical data to support reaction monitoring, process development, optimization, and scale‑up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with strong lab coursework.
• 3–5+ years of analytical lab experience; associate level considered.
• Hands-on chromatography, spectroscopy, and related techniques.
• Experience with Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing using NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and Karl Fischer.
• Support route scouting, process optimization, and scale-up via IPC testing and reaction profiling.
• Evaluate conversion, selectivity, purity, and impurity profiles.
• Identify and characterize unknowns, degradants, intermediates, and products.
• Generate accurate analytical data to support R&D and manufacturing projects.
• Assist with DoE, kinetic studies, and process safety through analytical characterization.
• Document results clearly and within required timelines.
• Troubleshoot procedures and instrumentation; maintain lab equipment.
